Early in her career, a lot of people, including guys bumped Nicki Minaj because she was sexy and has bars. Ever since she emerged on a mainstream level, Nicki Minaj went more pop. When Nicki Minaj started making mainstream music, a lot of her early fans were turned off.
Nicki Minaj knows she disappointed those fans and she made her last album, The Pink Print, for them. The album is another platinum success for Nicki Minaj and it has a lot of singles. Her single, “Feeling Myself,” featuring Beyonce, is taking over and has owned this week.
Back in 2003, Beyonce put twerking on the map and she was one of the first booty queens of the game. That title belongs to Nicki Minaj now and her and Beyonce twerked in the “Feeling Myself” music video. This, and the fact that this song is a banger leads to it getting Video of the Week on Hip Hop Vibe, this week.
