There were too many breakthrough artists to count in 2011. Among the most-notable were Future, who hails from Atlanta. In 2010, Atlanta hip hop had hit new lows, since dominating the rap game for a decade, at the time. With the usual players absent, Atlanta needed new blood to take over the game. Future rose to the occassion and released his “Tony Montana” hit, immediately gaining fame.

One reason Future has remained so popular is because of his style. Switching from a slow rap pace to nearly crooning, Future has released three consecutive anthems. Starting with “Tony Montana,” initially a mixtape single, which was co-signed by Young Money, then with “Magic,” which T.I. joined, and now Future’s lone solo hit, “Same Damn Time,” Future is a certified hitmaker.

Now among hip hop’s biggest figures, Future recently sat down with Hollywood Heavy and discussed his rap style, explaining why the fans like it. Vlad TV captured the video.
