Despite his initial low-key appearance, Safaree appeared to be one of the most-stable men in hip hop. A lot of hip hop couples weren’t built to last, but he and Nicki Minaj were. However, in 2014, Nicki Minaj announced her breakup with Safaree.
After the split, Safaree released a track, talking about the relationship, calling out her wrongdoings. The first thing he mentioned was watching her video, and she was kissing Nas. Eventually, Nicki and Nas became reported lovers, something they never confirmed, nor denied.
Safaree recently went on the “Easily Offended” podcast and he was asked about Nicki Minaj. They went right for it and asked Safaree how he felt about Nicki kissing Nas. Telling them he was on the set, Safaree said he missed that scene and Nicki waited until the last minute to tell him about it.
