Rick Ross goes gold with “God Forgives, I Don’t”

The highest-anticipated album of both 2011 and 2012 was Rick Ross’ God Forgives, I Don’t, which was faced with several delays. Rick Ross built incredible buzz, following the release of his Teflon Don album. Teflon Don performed well and Rick Ross’ name built, leading to him becoming one of the biggest rappers of the game.

Rick Ross focused on the development of his Maybach Music, in 2011. The label added such rappers as Wale, Meek Mill, and Stalley. Under the guidance of Rick Ross, all three rappers became stars. However, Rick Ross used 2011 to introduce the crew, followed by Wale, and then his own God Forgives, I Don’t album.

Two seizures in October 2011 stopped Rick Ross from releasing his album in 2011, instead forcing him to drop this summer.God Forgives, I Don’twas released back in July and the album was a success with critics. In the month and a half since Rick Ross released the project, it has certified gold with the RIAA.
