Philadelphia is currently at the center of the hip hop world, with Meek Mill’s strong debut, paired with comeback efforts from Freeway, Eve, Cassidy, and Beanie Sigel. In this new era of Philadelphia hip hop, led also by Tone Trump and Trel Mack, the city is no longer the home of brotherly love. Meek Mill and Tone Trump’s bosses are rivals and Cassidy is going at Meek.
There have been several Twitter exchanges that have fueled the rivalry between Meek Mill and Cassidy. While Meek Mill’s name continues to be brought up, it is Cassidy who is making the media rounds and discussing the situation. Rick Ross has risen to boss-like proportions in the rap game and is now working with Swizz Beatz, who in turn, has worked with Meek Mill.
Cassidy gained stardom through making songs with Swizz Beatz, so it was only a matter of time before he offered his opinion on the situation. Vlad TV had the opportunity to sit down with Swizz Beatz and they asked him about the feud between Cassidy and Meek Mill. In addition to beef talk, Swizz Beatz also looked back on Cassidy’s battle with Freeway.
