Coi Leray Says She’s Glad, That She Hasn’t Put Out Her Debut Album Yet, Due To Release of Kanye West and Drake’s Albums

Coi Leray has definitely been a star in 2021, as she is one of the biggest breakout stars of the year. She’s created hits such as “No More Parties” remix featuring Lil Durk, “Big Purr” feat. Pooh Shiesty, and “At The Top” ft. Kodak Black and Mustard.

The New Jersey artist announced last month, that her debut album, would also be arriving in September. This may not happen at the beginning of that month, though, based on a recent tweet. On Monday, Coi said that she’s glad that she hasn’t put out her album yet, due to Kanye West putting out his “Donda” album, and Drake dropping his “Certified Lover Boy” album, on September 3.

“Glad my album ain’t drop. Between drake and Kanye, sheesh. Everything happens for a reason. This gives me more time to tighten up. Maybe take some notes from the both of them.”

This is something that artists do, to avoid getting outshined by bigger artists on the same day of releases. Coi did note though that her album has a September release date, and didn’t publicly specify which exact date of the month, she’d put this project out. She can definitely still put her album out, after CLB drops.
