Since 2009, Rick Ross has used the first week of the New Year to prepare fans for his next studio album. At the time, Rick Ross promoted Deeper Than Rap and found himself embroiled in a feud with 50 Cent. Rick Ross has since expanded his reach and is now the head of hip hop’s hottest crew, Maybach Music.
In 2011, Rick Ross announced God Forgives, I Don’t in January. Between promoting the new artists on his label and other projects, Rick Ross ended up being pressed for time. A health bout, two seizures, stopped Rick Ross in his tracks and his album ended up being released in 2012.
Back at it, Rick Ross said his annual announcement was almost due. Over the course of only two years, Rick Ross has managed to put quite a lot together. Looking at the Maybach Music empire, many have called Rick Ross a mastermind. Apparently, Rick Ross took heed to those statements, as he has titled his sixth studio album, Mastermind. There is no current set release date, but Rick Ross has released the trailer for his new album.
