The lawsuits are continuing to pile in, after eight people died, at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival, last weekend. The Houston-based event saw stampedes of fans injure each other, as well as allegedly being drugged, by someone in the crowd of 50,000 people.
Victims’ family members have been coming forward, demanding answers, as to why these tragedies weren’t preventable. More heartbreaking situations are coming out of Houston as well, as now, a 9-year-old boy is fighting for his life.
According to ABC 13 Houston, Ezra Blount, is suffering from brain swelling, and organ damage. This came after he was on his father’s shoulder’s at the festival. The father soon passed out, and it resulted in the boy falling as well, and suffering trauma to the head. He and his father both ended up being trampled on, in the process.
“We have learned a 9 YO boy is fighting for his life at Texas Children’s Hospital after his family says he was trampled at #AstroWorld -child was on his dads shoulders during the crowd surge, his dad passed out from pressure, his son fell and concert goers trampled him,” said ABC 13 reporter, Stefania Okolie.
Ezra is reportedly in a coma now, as the briain swelling is said to have gotten “progressively worse.” The family was initially reluctant to release the boy’s name, but ended up deciding to do so.
