Gunna is currently winning even more, as his new “DS4EVER” album, is number one on the Billboard 200 chart. This was released on January 7, and was able to top The Weeknd’s “Dawn FM” album, for the top spot.
DS4EVER was led by the “Too Easy” single, ft. Future, and also its remix, ft. Roddy Ricch. Arguably the biggest song on Gunna’s third studio album here though, is “Pushin P,” ft. Future and Young Thug. That phrase has since taken over the internet.
“P Power” ft. Drake was also expected to appear on the album, but that wasn’t the case. In a new interview with Complex, Gunna explained that he didn’t get the sample on P Power cleared, from the legendary Donna Summer’s estate. As of now, P Power still isn’t included on DS4EVER.
“I originally sampled Donna Summer,” Gunna explained. “I don’t even know her, because I’m so young. But she was a legend and her estate couldn’t get back in time for my album.”
Gunna has had two consecutive number one solo albums. The last one came in May 2020, with “Wunna.” The Atlanta rapper was also part of a number one album last summer, with Young Stoner Life’s “Slime Language 2.”
