Movies and television have such an impact on people that it makes everything seem gentle. However, the reality is that a lot of dangerous people, things, and animals have been personified through the TV shows and movies. As a result, people are advised to not try the things they see on the TV screens at home. A small child was allowed to roam in thick grass to approach a deer. When the child went to touch, the deer pounced on the child.
Despite how they are portrayed, deer are not kind, nor gentle animals. When they are outside, they are feeding. Deer are not to be disturbed when they are feeding. Also, the males have sharp horns that can end the life of any animal they perceive to be a predator. Anyone who has been around a deer knows how impulsive and jumpy they can be. Almost anything is perceived by them as a threat. However, they are more prone to run away than to actually attack.
What some people tend to overlook is the fact that deer are wild animals. Only a handful of people have ever domesticated those kinds of animals. Deer free roam in most mountain and rural areas. Most of their time is spent grazing and feeding. Some adults thought it was a good idea to let their child pet a deer. As soon as the toddler reached their hand out to touch the deer, the deer ended up pouncing. After that, the child was on their back, with the deer on top of them.
