Wendy Williams gets backlash for mistreating her assistant
Wendy Williams’ controversial media career has made people not very sympathetic. This week, news broke that she was diagnosed with dementia. In addition, her “Where Is Wendy Williams” docuseries launched on Lifetime. During the first episode, people were not pleased with how she was talking to her assistant.
Wendy Williams made a name for herself being a brash media personality. As a result, she’s always had people trying to come for her. Because of the gossipy nature of her shows, Wendy always amassed a large audience. However, she did not have people tuning in because they were fans of her. Instead, the people who tuned in often spoke of their dislike for her.
Wendy Williams garnered a little sympathy, when her dementia diagnosis was announced. All of that went out of the window, after viewers saw “Where Is Wendy Williams.” She was no mean to her assistant that fans began to call her out. On social media, most of the fans have said her having dementia does not give her a pass for how mean she was being to the people who are helping her out.
