It has taken Red Cafe nearly four years to get an album out. He has gone through numerous record deals, but it seems that he has finally found some stability.
In 2007, he was signed by Akon’s Konvict Muzik. After hearing Red Cafe rhyme, Bad Boy Records’ CEO, Diddy insisted on signing him to Bad Boy Records.
It looks like a match made in heaven, Red Cafe needs a label that is interested in releasing his music and Bad Boy needs a star. Before the end of this year, Red Cafe should finally release his debut album.
Red Cafe spoke with The Boombox and he stated that his album may feature appearances from Day26 and Diddy, himself. His debut album, Redoctober, is expected to be released this fall in a joint venture deal between Bad Boy Records and Konvict Muzik, distributed by Atlantic Records.
