good kid, m.A.A.d. city changed the game when it was released, as it marked the official shift from “gangsta” rap to a lyrical return in hip hop. Co-signed by gangsta rapper, Game, the journey for Kendrick Lamar led him straight into Dr. Dre’s offices. Signed to Dr. Dre’s label, Aftermath Entertainment, Kendrick Lamar took the game over.

With the world regarding good kid, m.A.A.d. city as a classic, Kendrick Lamar wants to do nothing to ruin this moment.
