Drake and Rihanna have a dinner date in NYC before VMAs [PHOTOS]

Even though Drake made a big show about being in love with Nicki Minaj, it seems more like he always had a thing for Rihanna. After her high-profile breakup with Chris Brown, Rihanna famously moved on with Drake. Oddly enough, Drake and Chris Brown became friends and did not beef over Rihanna until years later.

Rihanna has gone back and forth between both men over the past few years. As the annual MTV Video Music Awards are being held at Jay-Z’s Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Rihanna is in town. Also in town is Drake and Rihanna decided to spend some time with him, according to several people on Twitter.

There are no pictures, but several people confirmed Rihanna and Drake had dinner together last night at Sons of Esses in New York City. Countless people tweeted about the former/future(?) couple being together last night. But, the only tweet that mattered was the one from the chef.
