Stuck in the middle of two of the biggest album releases, Mac Miller could have been overlooked. A benefit of the way Mac Miller built his name and gained fame is that his fans know he is only one stroke of the keyboard away. Watching Movies with the Sound Off is Mac Miller’s sophomore album that continues his change in sound.

Already, Mac Miller has shown himself as a party boy with an appreciation for the old school. Definitely a rare blend, Mac Miller showed much more of what he is made up of, as a man, on Watching Movies with the Sound Off. Clearly, there is much more to the album than suggested by the title.

Mac Miller came hard with the singles off the album, “S.D.S. (Somebody Do Something),” the title track “Watching Movies,” and “Goosebumpz.” On the album, Mac Miller came even harder, boasting collaborations with many of the biggest new artists in the game. A portion of the features come from ScHoolboy Q and Action Bronson.

Watching Movies with the Sound Off includes features from other names, including Earl Sweatshirt, Ab-Soul, Loaded Lux, Nikki Randa, and Jay Electronica.
