Album Review: Styles P – “The World’s Most Hardest MC Project”

Out of the entire L.O.X. crew, it seems as if Styles P is the most consistent artist when it comes to releasing albums. Styles P immediately jumped back into the studio after last year’s Master of Ceremonies. Today, Styles P delivered his latest opus, The World’s Most Hardest MC Project.

In a sense of irony, with all of the beef going on in hip hop, there are very few hardcore rappers in the game. Styles P has always kept it street, even on his records aimed for commercial appeal. One of rap’s most-authentic personalities, Styles P was able to remain timeless in a game where faces and names change weekly.

Styles P lives up to the “The World’s Most Hardest MC” title he gave himself on his latest album with the new project. With the world currently focused on violence and quick service, Styles P offered a two for one with his eleven new cuts. On the album, Styles P kept the guest list short, only including D-Block for the ride.

Sheek Louch appears on “Empire State High,” one of the highlight tracks off the album. Snyp Life and A.P. jump on “Shooter,” one of the grittier tracks on the gritty album. Meanwhile, Large Amount and Bucky give Styles P a boost on “Monopolizing.” Several great albums have been released in 2012. But, for fans who strictly want the hardcore music, Styles P gives just that and nothing else on his latest album, The World’s Most Hardest MC Project.
