Going into 2018, Black Panther was set to be the biggest movie of the year. During the fourth quarter of 2017, promo for the movie began, and it lived up to the hype. The movie starred Chadwick Boseman, a rising star, best-known for minor roles.
Ultimately, Chadwick Boseman ended up being a household name, once the movie hit. Since then, it has become one of the highest-grossing movies of all-time. However, Michael B. Jordan ended up being the film’s breakout star.
“Wakanda Forever” became an ongoing theme of the movie, which has become a talking point in conversations about black empowerment. That, alone, speaks of the impact Black Panther has had. Much more than the Film of the Year, Black Panther is a film for the ages.
