Nothing is harder than trying to find success, while being independent, regardless of the profession. Going against the establishment is never easy. At the same time, it’s also never impossible to go against the establishment and win.
J-Haze is one of those artists who built his name as an independent artist and chose to remain independent. After building his buzz up, last year, with You Can’t Relate, J-Haze had a chance to sign. Instead, he decided to establish Iconic Music Group and operate there.
Partnering with EMPIRE Distribution, J-Haze put out “The Body Guard” and saw the video go viral. On top of that, he has the support of the biggest figures in the game. This past fall, J-Haze delivered Heroin Habits 2, to much success, and just released “Give It To You” to viral success.
There are a lot of rappers out here trying and a good number of them will probably find success. In the case of J-Haze, he put himself into the conversation, in 2017, which is why he is the HHV On The Rise Artist of the Year.
