It’s so sad that 2016 is already over, but 2017 is just days away, so the clock restarts. This year, Hip Hop Vibe is adding a few categories to the year-end awards. With so many hip hop and R&B artists, and figures, doing TV and movies, those categories had to be added.
To give a little backstory, Terrence J rose to fame as the co-host of the iconic “106 & Park.” After “106,” Terrence J became an “E! News” host, but left at the end of 2015 to start his film production company. Then, when 2016 began, it was all about The Perfect Match film.
Terrence J starred as ‘Charlie’ in the perfect match opposite Cassie, the longtime Bad Boy Records star, ‘Eva.’ The cast is rounded out by such names as Brandy, French Montana, Lauren London, Paula Patton, Donald Faison, Chantel Jeffries, and more. This film tells the story of how Charlie (Terrence J) fell in love with Eva (Cassie) and won her heart.
There were many good movies that debuted, this year, but The Perfect Match was the perfect, light-hearted, movie that told a beautiful story. Along with that, many of the biggest names in the history of hip hop and R&B all had roles in the movie. Also, Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit company was involved in the production.
