Kemba Walker wants Blake Griffin to come play with him in Charlotte, with the Hornets, but he needs to stay in LA and not become the next Carmelo Anthony

The playoffs are going on, right now, and the annual curse of the Clippers is happening in real time. No joke, EVERY year something wild happens that takes them out of the playoffs early. For the past few seasons, it’s been a Blake Griffin injury.

Clipper fans, ironically, have gotten used to seeing their team winning 50 games a year and making the playoffs. But, they’re tired of losing in either the first or the second round, every year. They are starting to place blame on Blake Griffin for that.

The struggles of the Los Angeles Clippers are the running joke of the NBA. But, the purgatory of the Charlotte Hornets is something only actual fans of the team know about, let alone care about. But, the Hornets are a team that wants to be good, and can be, but they have a real dislike for maintaining big leads, late in games, which costs them.

At 36-46, the Hornets are out of the playoffs, but Kemba Walker had a historic performance. Change a few things around and Charlotte is the one seed playing Chicago, right now, and, more than likely, would still lose in the first round, but still… Anyway, during a post-season conference, Kemba Walker was asked what he’d like to have come next season, and he said Blake Griffin.

It’d be intriguing to see Kemba Walker play alongside an actual good big man, but it’d be improbable. From a financial standpoint, Charlotte couldn’t do it, anyway. Then, from a historic standpoint, Blake Griffin needs to stand his ground and be the cornerstone the Clippers wanted him to be when they first drafted him.

The Clippers are impatient, now, but back in 2010, they all cried when he went down before playing his first game, and cheered on his first dunk when he finally made the team relevant. Then, when Chris Paul came, they became a winner. Now, they are no longer the big brothers to the baby Warriors, but they didn’t come together for a rivalry, they came together for a title.

No offense to Carmelo Anthony, but he played himself when he left the Denver Nuggets, his legacy was there. Never missed a playoff, and had all of their scoring records, and also had longevity, there. With the New York Knicks, all he has is Phil Jackson and no playoffs since 2013, so Blake Griffin, don’t go down that road, stay in Los Angeles and keep the Clippers the best NBA team in LA.
