Usually, it’s said that in times of confusion, leaders are born. Not taking away from that statement, but leaders simply happen, too. If sports is to be used as an example, Giannis Antetokounmpo was never predicted to be a leader, but he began leading the Bucks into the playoffs.

After years of diligent grind, look at where his team is. The same can be said for Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors, even though many give credit to the coach, Steve Kerr. In South Carolina, on the rap scene, there is a coach, Coach Peake.

Diligently, Coach Peake has spent his time working on his music. At a time when most rappers trying to break into the game simply talk about themselves, on social media, Peake has been doing. Working everything off the muscle, he built a dedicated fan base, so that SOMEONE is checking for his music.

The honest grind has been paying off for Coach Peake, as he went through a couple of name changes, as he went about finding his way. Patience has been a key to his rise, as he actually has had the chance to work with Migos, before their taking over the game. Watching them continue to rise, Coach Peake has continued to work, having faith that his day is coming.

Coach Peake, without making a major case out of it, has established himself as one of the countless hip hop CEOs, but he s one who actually owns his material. There is no need for him to worry about his publishing, as he owns all of it. Then, when it comes to the streaming numbers, like Giannis’ Bucks, he has seen a gradual increase in his numbers, as he has several videos on YouTube, alone, with over 30,000 views, showing a bright future.

Both within the state of South Carolina, and outside of it, Coach Peake is making noise. Definitely, the online presence is important, but he’s also gaining radio play on terrestrial radio stations, as “For You” is beginning to pick up steam on Choice 92.1 and WIIZ 97.1, with Virginia’s DJ Infamous even giving his music a co-sign. In Atlanta, the single, “Alotta” is gaining noise, courtesy of DJ Smirk, and he recently dropped a single with Lil’ Scrappy.

No longer can people say the hip hop scene in South Carolina is still developing, as a few stars have come from the Palmetto State, and they actually represent the state. What can be said, though, is that Coach Peake is soon going to break through, and the whole world will soon know about his side of the state, and from there, his continued rise may lead to him taking throne as the King of the South.
