Lil Peep’s estate has officially released the music video for “16 Lines.” “16 Lines” is the sixth track off Lil Peep posthumous album, Come Over When You’re Sober Part 2. The track originally leaked onto the internet on June 14, 2017.
The music video was uploaded by Peep’s videographer, Wiggy, onto his Twitter account after Peep’s passing. The video took place in New York City, New York in April 2017. It features Peep dressed in a purple and yellow tie-dye shirt smoking in a hotel or apartment room.
“16 Lines” is a depressing song about cocaine use. The video accurately mirrors Peep’s emotions, lyrics such as, “Sixteen lines of blow and I’m fine. Break my bones, but act as my spine”, and “Is anybody out there? Can anybody hear me?” are given new life as Peep is noticeably alone. Peep passed away of an accidental Fentanyl -Xanax overdose on November 15, 2017. 16 Lines is the 7th music video released since his death.
