Almost exactly 24 hours ago, yesterday, news broke that Prodigy died and it still makes no sense. What a life to take, what a bond to break, hip hop is missing him, already. It’s always sad when anyone dies, somebody is going to miss them.

Prodigy is a Queens legend and one half of Mobb Deep with Havoc. The past few years have seen the group go through ups and downs, including a disagreement among them. But, it was all love in the end, and Mobb Deep got back together and put new albums out.

With today being Wednesday, being honest, there were other plans for the Wednesday Throwback. However, Prodigy’s death led to a major change in plans. So, this is the celebration of the life and career of Mr. Albert “Prodigy” Johnson.
