Faces and names change, but the game remains the same. Suddenly, hip hop has come full circle and the focus is back on crews. With rappers coming together to form crews, it was only right for a strong crew out of The Bronx to form. The Coke Boys began their mixtape run five years ago, then only known as affiliates to Max B.

Led by French Montana, the Coke Boys have been around some of the biggest figures in the overall music industry. However, it was not until last year when French Montana developed into a star. This development is still ongoing, as French Montana’s star has not reached its full potential.

Working with the likes of Rick Ross and signed to Bad Boy Records, French Montana is well on his way to becoming a household name. The journey continues, however, for the remainder of the outfit. Still finding their way includes Coke Boy Flip, Coke Boy Cheeze, Droop Pop, Coke Boy Brock, and their Southern affiliate, Coca Kazi.

The Coke Boys are making their mark in the rap game, as they have close ties to Maybach Music and Young Money. Earlier this year, major news broke when Bang ‘Em Smurf and French Montana met in Trinidad. At the end of their meeting, a new alliance was made between the Coke Boys and Feed Da Wolves. Maybach Dice would also join the Coke Boys after this strong meeting of the minds, forming another powerhouse in New York City.

Ten years ago, the Coke Boys were just beginning their movement. French Montana created Cocaine City DVD and soon became well-known by numerous mainstream rappers. Through working in Queens, Riot Squad member, Chinx Drugz, would join the Coke Boys and the rest was history. Now, the Coke Boys find themselves as one of the biggest rising crews in New York hip hop and soon in the mainstream sector. Hip Hop Vibe, throughout this upcoming week, will introduce those who do not know to some of the other Coke Boys.
