A little over a month ago, the decision was made to launch this HHV First Look series to spotlight hip hop clothing companies. But, there has been a lot of stuff that has happened that caused the attention to shift into other topics. HHV First Look is back on track now and the relaunch started with No Bad Ideas Clothing Company.
No Bad Ideas Clothing Company is based out of Indianapolis, Indiana and has been around since 2006. This clothing company specializes in headwear, a market most clothing companies do not embrace until later down the road. Everything about this brand is very professional.
Chris Hines is a member of the No Bad Ideas Clothing Company. Right now, the future is looking bright for No Bad Ideas. Their newest hats have come out very dope and something those who like headgear should be looking forward to. In the HHV First Look relaunch, Chris Hines talked about his clothing line.
Read the entire interview below:
Where did the ‘No Bad Ideas’ name come from? The inspiration comes from the idea of following your dreams, regardless of what the naysayers are telling you. Fifteen years ago, when the owner/founder of the company, Andy Moss, was starting out in the hat game, there were people in his life who called him a fool, telling him that hats aren’t relevant and that you can’t make it selling hats. There was no basis for their statement, only an opinion. That blatant hate and doubt is where the name comes from. It’s all about following your heart and doing you! There are always going to be people in your life telling what you should or shouldn’t do, sometimes it’s all about having full belief in yourself and making your dreams come true!
Most clothing lines roll out T-shirts first, why did you choose hats? Not everyone follows the same blueprint. Hats are our passion, it’s what we do best. Why be like everyone else?
How important do you feel it is to maintain professionalism while working? Often times, professionalism is the difference that separates the men from the boys. Taking care of the little things is what its all about.
With the summer now in full swing, how do you intend to market No Bad Ideas? We have a lot of big things in the works. Stay tuned….
