A longtime veteran in the rap game, Gillie Da Kid represents Philadelphia and he has held it down for years. Last year, Gillie Da Kid released King of Philly 2, which he had DJ Drama host. Late in the summer of 2013, Gillie Da Kid scored a viral hit with his “King Me” single.
Much attention has been given to Gillie Da Kid over the past year and rightfully so. He has held the game down for years and he appears refocused on making the best quality of music possible. Last week, the world celebrated as a New Year entered, Gillie Da Kid showed there would be more to come from him.
Let’s not forget Gillie Da Kid will be playing the role of Tupac Shakur in an upcoming film. Last year, Gillie Da Kid starred in a few films and they paid well, or at least, they helped Gillie Da Kid to keep some of the freshest jewelry. To ring in 2014, Gillie Da Kid showed off his king status with his iced out watch and Religion Records chains.
