The NBA tipped off for the 2018-19 season tonight and features a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Celtics and Sixers. Boston is finally receiving Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward back after losing them to season-ending injuries last season.
Irving seemed a bit rusty as he went 0/8 in the first half but the Celtics are still up 47-42. Jayson Tatum leads all Celtics with 13 points. Twitter had some reactions to Irving not finding his shot to start the first half of the Celtics’ first game. Check out tweets below.
@KyrieIrving is 0-8 in season opener. 0-8!!!! What happened over the summer? #KiaTipOff18 #NBAPalooza #BostonCeltics

@KyrieIrving looking very hands off tonight. Hope he opens up in 2nd half. He’s too much fun to watch play like he has in the 1st. #PHIvsBOS

@KyrieIrving never shot this bad on a “flat” earth… Can’t seem to figure out how to shoot on this “round” earth yet….. @NBAonTNT
