It looks like singer Lady Gaga has confirmed the rumors regarding her engagement to Christian Carino. The “A Star is Born” actress has indeed called it quits with fiancé Christian Carino. Reps for Gaga confirmed news of the break-up, exclusively telling People.com, “It just didn’t work out. Relationships sometimes end.” Also adding, “There’s no long dramatic story,” and the the couple split some time ago.
Speculation of a break-up began began when Gaga appeared at the 2019 Grammys ringless and without her fiancé by her side. Carino accompanied her at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild awards in January. Gaga noticeably left him out of her acceptance speech at the Grammys when she won for Best Pop Duo/Group. She only thanked Bradley Cooper, the song’s producers, and fans.
This news comes at an unfortunate timing as Gaga is in the middle of what has been a great awards season so far. She has been a darling at award show, winning Best Original Song at the Golden Globes and Best Original Music at the BAFTAs. This break up comes ahead of the Academy awards where she’s nominated for Best Actress as well.
The two began dating in February 2017, after Gaga broke up with her long time boyfriend of 5 years, Taylor Kinney.
