What to take from Mystikal’s new style?

Through it all, Mystikal has enjoyed a nice, long career. Rare it is for a rapper to be relevant nearly twenty years after their first release. Mystikal has made history for many reasons, among them is being the first artist to have been signed to both No Limit Records and Cash Money Records.
Over ten years have passed since Mystikal last released an album. This did not stop the machine that is Cash Money Records for signing him anyway. Mystikal became a true star after he took his career into his own hands, by 2000. His star power remains there, as legal trouble kept him from continuing to make hits.
As a part of Cash Money Records, there are many younger hip hop fans who are meeting Mystikal for the first time. Those who new Mystikal, after hearing “Original” and seeing the music video, there are many older hip hop fans who are meeting Mystikal for the first time. The basic slow/fast rap style and the raspy voice remains, but the rest is totally new.
With all he has come back from, no one could have imagined the day Mystikal would be flowing over the same type beats made popular by Lil Wayne, over the past few years. Mystikal is now bald-headed, comparable to Birdman and his style of dress has changed, along with everyone else who has changed from 2001 to 2012. Aside from the voice, the Mystikal of old is not recognizable when looking at YMCMB’s Mystikal.
