AR Santiago channeled her hurt and pain into a body of work that she believes is a classic. However, when a person puts something out, especially an artform like music, it is up to the people to decide. With that being said, AR Santiago hopes the people will enjoy her new music just as much as she enjoyed creating it. When AR Santiago crafted #SadGirlHours, it was a form of therapy for her.

AR Santiago actually went through having a relationship with a high profile person. However, the relationship did not pan out how she wanted it. As a result, AR Santiago went in and recorded #SadGirlHours, her new EP. Delivering three songs, AR Santiago gave her followers a glimpse of what is to come.

AR Santiago is a student of the game and her music reflects that. Often, people reflect back to the 1990s, because it was a dope era. However, these are the 2020s, and AR Santiago is making sure her work, this decade, is appreciated. To that end, AR Santiago leaned heavily on the 1990s influences, with her own 2020s style to create #SadGirlHours, which consists of “Tokyo,” “Falling,” and “Bad.”
