Backlash from country music fans led to the song being pulled from the country charts. Billy Ray Cyrus would make a remix that put him on top of the mainstream charts.
Lil Nas X has remained on the top of the charts ever since then. As the song continues to grow, so does business. Wrangler Jeans approaches Lil Nas X for a deal.
Country music fans have not stopped protesting Wrangler since the Lil Nas X deal. This has given Hip Hop fans a good laugh. They find it funny because Wrangler doesn’t normally get publicity and business reports say sales are dropping, so Lil Nas X is making them relevant.
