Doja Cat – “Celebrity Skin”

Doja Cat remakes Hole’s Celebrity Skin for the Super Bowl

In three years, Doja Cat went from being a viral sensation to being one of music’s biggest names. A native of Los Angeles, Doja Cat got off to an early start with her career. At the age of 17, Doja Cat was a signed artist. She was a part of a joint venture deal with RCA Records. Doja Cat was signed alongside a list of other rising pop artists.

Despite getting off to a fast start, Doja Cat suffered the fate of many signed artists. She sat on the shelf for a few years, waiting, while others took over the game. Finally, Doja Cat received an album release, but the rollout wasn’t the best. Still, Doja Cat managed to score a hit with “Juicy,” featuring Tyga, which put her on the map.

Doja Cat took her career into her own hands, following the release of her debut album. Like the artists who were coming up, Doja Cat took to viral antics. Her formula worked, as the stage was set for “Juicy” to become a hit single. The release of Hot Pink, in 2019, made Doja Cat into a star, and she kept the momentum going. By 2021, Doja Cat was one of the biggest names in music.

This past week, Doja Cat returned with her new single, “Celebrity Skin.” Actually, Doja Cat only did a remake of Hole’s single, remixing it. Doja Cat has done this in promotion of Taco Bell’s Super Bowl commercial, as the LA Rams will face the Cincinnati Bengals.
