Last summer, French Montana appeared to be ready to drop Excuse My French onto the game. Releasing the “Pop That” single, French Montana featured Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Drake. A summer anthem, Uncle Luke soon talked to MTV News about the song, saying he would like to be paid for the song.
Uncle Luke has had a lot of issues with the new crop of stars in the game. But, it appeared as if he ultimately was alright with “Pop That.” Performing the song on BET with the crew, many felt as if there was no situation. However, seeing French Montana speaking on the song has made Uncle Luke seethe.
Earlier this week, French Montana stopped by Hot 97 and he talked about “Pop That” and his relationship with Trina. Asked about Uncle Luke and “Pop That,” French Montana said he paid off the right people to clear “Pop That.” Uncle Luke talked to Hot 97 after this and explained his friendship with Diddy kept him from suing French Montana.
