When Cash Money Records first rose to prominence, Juvenile was the flagship artist on the label. But, when money became a factor, Juvenile had differences with Birdman and Slim, causing him to leave the label. Very briefly, Juvenile returned to Cash Money Records and released Juve Tha Great, which gained him positive reviews and critical acclaim.
Juvenile, however, left Cash Money Records after this deal to focus more on his UTP label and the label moved on. Recent years have seen Cash Money Records appear as a revolving door, signing and losing such artists as Mystikal and Busta Rhymes, among others. But, they have flirted with the idea of bringing Juvenile back.
This afternoon, Juvenile talked to MTV News’ Rob Markman and he had some big news for him and the audience. He was there with Birdman and Juvenile announced he had a new label deal. After ten years, Juvenile has returned to Cash Money Records and he has some new projects in the works.
