Kidd Kidd talks Lil Wayne falling out and reconciliation with DJ Envy [AUDIO]
Now every rapper does this, but Lil Wayne originated shunning a mainstream career for the mixtape game. Dropping several classics with DJ Drama, Lil Wayne built an unprecedented buzz and began rounding out the Young Money roster. In 2008, Lil Wayne returned and was promoting his artist, Kidd Kidd.
When Lil Wayne dropped Tha Carter III, the album received a lot of attention and each album single did well. The final single Lil Wayne released off the album was “Mrs. Officer,” which featured Kidd Kidd, an artist from New Orleans. By the time Lil Wayne began promoting Young Money, Kidd Kidd was gone.
Recently, Kidd Kidd sat down with DJ Envy for his Sirius XM radio show and he spoke on his past with Lil Wayne. In the interview, Kidd Kidd talked about his falling out with the boss at Young Money. Kidd Kidd went on to say that he and Lil Wayne have since mended fences.
