Lupe Fiasco talks 55th Annual Grammy Awards with Jenny Boom Boom [AUDIO]

Making up for a four-year hiatus, Lupe Fiasco has released two albums on the heels of each other and he has yet another album in the works for this year. Food & Liquor II was a welcomed return to Lupe Fiasco’s roots, though his previous work, Lasers, was met with a strong reaction. Lupe Fiasco is currently up for two Grammys.

All in all, 2012 was an overall good year for hip hop. In the midst of several other rappers emerging, Lupe Fiasco and Nas both released new albums. It turns out both new albums have the emcees up for ‘Best Rap Album’ at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. Lupe Fiasco is also up for a Grammy with his collaboration, “Battle Scars” with Guy Sebastian.

Recently, Jenny Boom Boom caught up with Lupe Fiasco backstage and she talked to the popular rapper about some of his upcoming work. With Grammy weekend in full swing, Lupe Fiasco was performing at the Grammy Foundation’s “Play it Forward.” When it comes down to ‘Best Rap Album,’ Lupe Fiasco expects Nas to win the award.
