Mary J Blige drops new single Rent Money with Dave East
Creatively, Mary J. Blige has found herself back in the spotlight. The multi-hyphenate initially rose to fame as a singer. Though a lot of her earlier music centered around her personal drama, Mary J. has managed to keep most of her personal life out of the headlines. Even her messy divorce didn’t receive as much as attention as many would have thought.
Mary J. Blige’s reports about her divorce came and went. While she still releases new music, Mary J. doesn’t make the hits like she used to. During the height of her career, Mary J. Blige would release hit singles every two years. Towards the end of this run, she released “Be Without You,” the biggest single of her career, and it debuted late in 2005.
Currently, Mary J. Blige is working on her album, Good Morning Gorgeous. Already, she has released the music video for the title track, which features DJ Khaled. She has now returned with the newest single off the album, “Rent Money,” featuring Dave East. While she is promoting the album, Mary J. Blige is airing every Sunday, on “Power Book II: Ghost.”
