Mya was one of the singers that dominated the late 1990s. She had to battle it out with both individual singers, and groups, contending with TLC, Destiny’s Child, Aaliyah, Brandy, and Monica. Though she was arguably the most-talented of them all, she seemed to always be in the background, but the spotlight is hers with “You Got Me,” her latest single.
