The season is winter, as it always is when the New Year arrives. In 2012, there were many highlights, as artists made comebacks, while other experienced pitfalls. One highlight for the independent hip hop scene was the comeback of Trel Mack. An up-and-coming Philadelphia rhymer, Trel Mack took a break in 2008, after being on many “next” lists. Back and better than before, he and Q the Question returned to SKE Records and Trel Mack released Inspired by Greatness, which will be followed by more classic material in 2013. One new record from the crew, which is holiday-inspired is called “Season Greetings.” Q the Question is hosting the track that features Petter Jones and Trel Mack.
