The Bronx is the birthplace of hip hop and it continues to be home to many new hip hop artists, emerging. This week, Ooggz has taken over the internet with the release of his latest album, Welcome To Neptune, which has a unique sound. The project definitely was a strong compilation of new music.
When it came to the production on the project, it was savvy and cutting edge. Out the gate, there was no choice but for Ooggz to go hard. Welcome To Neptune also included the typical love ballads, “Come On Down” and “Classy,” the first of which featuring Ayanna Williams. Great efforts, but neither of those songs matched up and the hooks were basic.
Overall, Ooggz closed out Welcome To Neptune in strong fashion. He brings a little bit of everything, boasting about money on “Ain’t What You Want.” The project is a great release for someone who is still establishing themselves in the game and definitely something to check out.
