Saweetie releases Closer single with H.E.R.
Saweetie had a very strong 2021, as she scored multiple hits, along with plenty of endorsement deals. Now, the Bay Area rapper is back at it now, with her first single of 2022. This is “Closer,” as it features another Grammy-nominated and Bay Area native, in H.E.R.
This year, Saweetie is also expected to finally put out her highly anticipated debut studio album, Pretty B*tch Music. As of now, there is still no official release date for this project. “Closer” definitely appears to be the lead single for Pretty B*tch Music, though.
A little over four years ago, Saweetie took over the game. She sampled Khia’s classic “My Neck, My Back” for her own “ICY GRL” single. To this era, Saweetie’s debut is considered a classic. In late 2017, Saweetie took the game over. During that time, Saweetie spoke to Hip-HopVibe.com about her rising success.
Saweetie has owned the game without putting an album out. Now, she is officially changing that, as Saweetie has “Closer” out. The game has changed and Saweetie dominating the game without an album is proof of that. She’s consistently dropped hits, since 2017, without an official album.
