Steph Curry makes Warriors history and gets win over OKC

Stephen Curry already established himself as the greatest Warrior in franchise history. During the 2015-2016 season, Curry had the best season of his career. While he would eclipse his 30 points per game average, Steph will likely never lead a team to 73 wins again. Even though they didn’t win the title, that Warriors team was something special. After that meltdown, Steph led Golden State to three more titles. Tonight, Curry made Warriors’ franchise history, again, with his field goals made passing Chamberlain.

Stephen Curry is the player responsible for putting the Golden State Warriors back on the map. Prior to the addition of Curry to the roster, Golden State made the playoffs once in fifteen years. Since 2013, Golden State has made the postseason every year with the exception of 2020. During the 2019-2020 season, the Warriors fell to the NBA’s worst record. Injuries to Curry and Klay Thompson set them back, as the team retooled their roster.

Stephen Curry recently spoke on the struggles of the defending champion Warriors. He said he is tired of this team playing .500 ball. Since saying this, the Warriors have been on a three game winning streak. The streak was officially extended to three, with Golden State’s win over the Thunder, in Oklahoma City. In the game, Curry was relentless with the three pointers. Curry scored 38 points in Golden State’s win. In addition, he passed Wilt Chamberlain to have the most field goals made in franchise history.
