While the celebration of Aaliyah’s life is ongoing, Tank was among the artists signed to Blackground Records. For those unaware, Aaliyah was the flagship artist of Blackground Records. The label was also home to both Timbaland and Ginuwine.
During their years with Atlantic Records, Blackground worked closely with Missy Elliott. In 2000, Tank released his debut album with the label, returning with his follow-up in 2002. But, it was 2007 when Tank became a household name, with “Please Don’t Go.”
The past few years have seen Tank take on acting roles, among them was the TV One film, A Second Chance Christmas. During that run, Tank spoke to Hip-HopVibe.com. Now, he has his album, Savage, which is due on September 29, and he’s now released the album cover for it.
