Trick Daddy talks restoring Miami hip hop and Lil Wayne with 99 Jamz [AUDIO]
Rick Ross is currently one of the biggest, if not the biggest, rapper in the game. The success of Rick Ross has placed Miami in the forefront of the rap world. DJ Khaled also has played a major role in Miami’s hip hop scene. However, there has been a gradual change.
When DJ Khaled first emerged, he had a lot of tracks with Trick Daddy. During this period of time, Rick Ross was signed to Slip-N-Slide Records. However, Trick Daddy and Rick Ross always had animosity toward each other. Both left Slip-N-Slide Records during the same period of time.
With Lil Wayne’s rant toward the Miami Heat going viral and his following interview with the Miami-based radio station, 99 Jamz. Both Trick Daddy and Uncle Luke have spoken out against Lil Wayne with the prior calling into the same station to address Miami and the Young Money leader. Trick Daddy said first the Miami hip hop scene had to be re-established and he and Uncle Luke have several plans for this.
