Wale – “What More Can I Say (freestyle)”
Wale continues countdown to Ambition with Jay-Z freestyle
In 2009, Wale debuted, and he looked like he had the potential to be the next big thing. He debuted alongside a crop of promising artists, which included Charles Hamilton, Drake, J. Cole, and Nicki Minaj. Two years later, Drake and Nicki Minaj have become two of the biggest names in hip hop, and J. Cole has finally come into his own.
As recently as last year, Wale was falling into the category of a Charles Hamilton. However, Rick Ross said he was considering signing Wale to Maybach Music. Many wrote that off as more of Ross boasting, but he made that happen. This has turned out to be the smartest move of both Wale and Rick Ross’ respective careers. He’s had success with his single, “That Way,” and is now getting commercial looks.
When Wale debuted, many people felt he had the potential to be the greatest of all time. Few people saw him landing in a crew like MMG, but it’s worked for him. Through this, he’s had Roc Nation managing him, and now he’s dropped a freestyle to Jay’s “What More Can I Say.” Below, fans can listen to Hov’s original version of the song, off The Black Album.
