Since Lil Wayne made it clear he was done with the rap game, Cash Money Records needs to find another star. Thus far, Young Thug looks like he is up next as the heir apparent to the title. Even with arguments of him still being with Brick Squad, the man, himself, confirmed he was YMCMB.
Seeing how his “Stoner” single is all over the radio, Young Thug is currently the hottest artist on the YMCMB roster. His name was built through mixtapes and he has more to drop, but Young Thug is also thinking about albums. Currently, he has a concept for his new album.
Recently, Young Thug did an interview with DJ Whoo Kid after DJ Drama called him and the theme of his debut album came up. It’s been said for years that Lil Wayne would walk away from it all with Tha Carter V and he has lived up to the promise. Now, Young Thug revealed Tha Carter series will live on, with him putting out Tha Carter VI as his debut album.
