This week, Hip Hop Vibe got in contact with one of the more-popular ladies doing modeling, as a whole.

Ashley Alexiss has amassed an incredible online fan base through her self-taught online marketing. Through this, the world has connected with Ashley Alexiss and they have learned of her goals. Even though she has accomplished a lot of her goals, which include modeling for Playboy, there is much more to what she is doing.

Hip Hop Vibe talked to Ashley Alexiss and she explained how she got to her current position. In today’s times, people often want to see the journey someone took to get where they are. While looking back is fun, Ashley Alexiss is not done traveling and she spoke more on this in her Hottie of the Week interview.

How instrumental has the internet been to your success in modeling? The internet has been everything for me because that’s where social media is and that’s pretty much how I’ve gotten as far as I have. It’s amazing how it can connect you with people all over the world. I’m so lucky to have the support I do thanks to the internet and it’s connecting me with these people who believe in so much of what I do.

Back in February 2011, you won Playboy’s Miss Social, how has that helped your career? I’d say that was the big boost! It opened me up to the world in such a brighter way because it gave me some stability of a title and recognition.

While pursuing modeling, you were also in school, can you speak on how important going to school was for you? School has been great. I believe you always need a backup. I’m proud to have been able to accomplish all my modeling success along with receiving my bachelors degree.

When you began modeling, did you seek the advice of a model you know or someone in the industry or was it more trial-and-error for you? It’s been a lot of trial and error. I’ve received advice along the way, but a lot of it has come from me.

How did you get yourself started when it came to marketing yourself online? I honestly don’t know. It’s like built into me, it comes naturally.

Do you have a fan club that helps you out when it comes to marketing? Well, I believe my social media helps me out a lot.

You continue the trend of curvier models having success, what message do you want to get across to people who are different from what is considered “status quo?” I just want people to understand that dreams aren’t impossible even if you’re the furthest from what’s accepted. You have to believe in you because the best love is self love.

What was behind your petition to have MTV give you your own reality show? (Laughs) Actually, I didn’t start that. One of my supporters did.

What aspect of your life do you feel is compelling enough for you to be able to hold down a television show? I believe every aspect of my life would be interesting.. I’m an interesting person. From my business life, my personal life, who I am from day to night. It’s something that’ll spark your interest.
