Read the entire interview below:

Over the past year, your name has risen significantly, what do you attribute to your success? Hmmmmm, I would have to say I’m more knowledgeable about the industry now and I don’t just jump into things as quickly as I did when I first started out modeling. I take the time and effort to make sure I deliver quality now.

You were born in New Orleans, but raised in the Military, where are some of the places you lived? I’ve lived in Mississippi, Florida, Guam, Japan, Kuwait, and Iraq.

Now that you are older, do you travel often? Hell yeah! That was one of my main reasons for joining the military. I don’t like staying in one place for too long.

What is your reason for becoming a model and what is your favorite part about the job? I actually started out as a Jazz/Ballet/Hip Hop dancer. I have always loved taking pictures and doing neighborhood fashion shows though. Hell, back in the day, I swore I was Tyra Banks, but I will never forget the day I saw LisaRaye’s Smooth Magazine cover! I think I was just as turned on as men were. I wanted to see if I had that sex appeal in me. I was scared at first but hey here I am. What I love most about modeling is the range of creativity and the freedom to let go and be who ever you want in that moment.

Which shoots do you feel have given you the most freedom? That definitely would have to be all of my shoots with The Studio Marz. He is amazing and every time we shoot its easy. He lets me just be me and I love that.

Usually, models use this platform to jump into other forms of entertainment, what are your plans? I love styling and creative directing. I want to be the Mr. Jay of the Urban Glam world.

What quality would you say has made you into the popular entertainment figure that you are? I’m real, I talk to my fans, I am a down to Earth sweet heart, and I am more comfortable and confident in who I am now. I also think when people found out I am actually in the military that helped too (laughs)!

Behind the scenes, there is a lot that comes with being a model, what is a typical work day like for you? That depends on the day, some days I’m like “ugh, screw this I’m staying in the bed,” but the military comes first for me, so if I’m off duty. I plan my photo shoots and look for new cities to visit.

Can you talk more about your interest in being behind the camera working? Of course, I’m so into Creative Directing and Styling right now. From everything to the clothes, hair, camera angles, and lighting it’s ridiculous! I want to branch out into that field. I’m actually starting to work on my sister, Jae Choice’s, next few shoots. Hopefully, I get the opportunity to work with a lot of other models after you all see what I’m capable of! So definitely be on the look out for it.
