What determines success is different depending on who is asked the question. Some believe the person most educated on a particular topic and who has put in the most time is successful. But, this isn’t the case, all of the time.
Ieshia Charmaine only recently started modeling, but she is already one of the biggest new names out. In a handful of months, she has shot with a known photographer and gotten published. Her success came from working smart and building connections.
As she continues to make major moves, Ieshia Charmaine took time out of her schedule for a Hottie of the Week interview. The Louisiana native, Ieshia Charmaine, talked to Hip Hop Vibe about her rising career and the moves she is making. There is a lot to this woman that many would likely consider her to be the “total package.”

How long have you been modeling? I launched my modeling career in October of this past year.
What do you enjoy most about modeling? I enjoy everything about modeling, I take it seriously. Modeling is something that I’m very passionate about. I live in the gym and I’m always looking for ways to improve myself.
You consider yourself the total package having both beauty and brains. What are some of the things you consider beautiful about yourself? I’m very business minded. I’m a semester away from my business degree so I know how to operate without the help of others. It’s very important to be involved in every aspect of what your doing. No one is going to care about your brand the way you do so of course I consider myself to be a beautiful person both inside and out.
Speaking of beauty and brains please tell me what the hell “Lagniappe” means (laughs)? Sorry it’s a “Louisiana” thing (laughs). Lagniappe means “A little something extra”.
Who did you work with during your shoot with Dynasty Series and how did you feel once you got published? AlcoleStudios does the majority of my work. I trust him and for me trust is a huge part of building yourself. You have to have faith and believe the people surrounding you believe in you and want to see you on top. Louisiana doesn’t have a lot of photographers to choose from so I wait until Alcole is on tour and will be in a city near me. I was very excited to be published my first time doing a professional shoot. It was an unexplainable feeling!
What would you consider the biggest accomplishment that a model can achieve? It all depends on the model. A lot of models would consider being published the biggest accomplishment but for myself it’s so much bigger than that. I want my modeling career to open up other doors and bring other opportunities into my life . Modeling is just the beginning for me.
What is your opinion of former models like Amber Rose and Kim Kardashian becoming famous after after being with musicians? (Laughs) I mean get it by any means! Honestly, it’s all about how you do things. Both of them are beautiful women and I feel they both were known before they had relations with musicians, but hadn’t defined themselves as a brand. The brand is what will set you apart. Take Miracle Watts for example, she hasn’t been publicly in a relationship with any musicians, but is still a well known name in the modeling industry.
If I was to raid your closet what would be the sexiest or freakiest things I would find inside? I have a lot of sexy clothing! Like I said, I work hard to have the body that I do so of course when I step out its a must I show it off ! As far as freaky goes (pauses) I’m in to lingerie and I’ll leave it at that (smiles).
You just became famous and a trending topic due to hackers leaking your sextape (laughs). Who would your celebrity co-star would be if that ever happened? Meek Mill. I don’t know, it’s just something about his Philly accent and the way he carries himself.
