They saw breakout success in 2017, when they signed Megan Thee Stallion. As a result, she gained a lot of momentum in 2018, and soared to stardom in 2019, with hits such as “Big Ole Freak” and “Cash S***” with DaBaby. Furthermore, 1501 added another key artist in 2020, with Dallas rapper Erica Banks, who also scored a major record with “Buss It.”
Meanwhile, 1501 has added another female rapper who’s been buzzing on social media. This is Atlanta native Salma Slims, who went viral for her “Oh He Wanna” single, which was produced by Bankroll Got It, in 2022. In 2023, she followed that success up with records such as “Been That” and “Teamed Up” with 24Hrs and Drumma Boy.
